Hosted by Tim Ferrell, who's taught workshops across the country and brings over 20 years of experience in writing, directing, and performing comedy. Former students include Jon Stewart , Ray Romano and Chris Rock.After performing as a comic in clubs all over NYC, Tim then became the manager of the “Who’s on First” Comedy Club. He started teaching workshops in both stand-up and Improvisational Comedy. Tim also did some writing for Comedy Central’s “Alan Havey Show” and Nickelodeon’s “ You can’t do that on TV”In 1990, Tim moved to Maine and formed “Laughingstock Comedy Company” with his friends Abrams and Anderson of Second City in Chicago. He started teaching again, running workshops and acting as the talent coordinator at Portland's former Comedy Connection.During this time, he began getting requests from non-comics for help with speaking engagements, presentations, interviews etc. Working one-on-one with these clients, and seeing them achieve both personal and professional triumphs, Tim launched another venture: ”Before You Speak”, which he sums up as “Saving the world from tedium, one speaker at a time.” http://www.beforeyouspeak.com/Along with presentation coaching, Tim is back teaching Stand-up Comedy classes to beginners as well as ongoing workshops with professional working comics
