It's the end of August, and you know what that means - the Portland Maine Comedy Festival is BACK! Now in it's 8th year, this year's fest is shaping up to be the best one yet. Join The Hill Arts for this special kick-off event featuring the best that the Portland comedy scene has to offer, and also Hey Party People! The best of Portland improv: powerhouse supergroup You Should Smile More. Add in killers on the comedy circuit Timmy Elliott and Crystal Bernard and we've got a lineup here that you'll remember for years to come. Unfortunately Hey Party People! are on the show, too. We're sorry.

Love improv or standup, you'll get the best of both worlds with this incredible lineup! Combining Portland's only all-female improv group with some of the best comics the state has to offer makes this show a surefire hit! We know you'll have to put up with Hey Party People! to get to it, but look, you can just close your eyes for that part.

Two hour show. Mixed medium - stand-up, improv and sketch comedy. One 10 minute intermission. Tickets $15 online, add $5 more at the door. Snarky comments required for entry. Laughter during the show is mandatory. Dress code: casual. Plus ones encouraged. Beer and wine for sale. We reserve the right to refuse service to nobody. Ages 14+. Afterparty immediately following at the secret bar on the roof of Whole Foods. Please, no gifts.
